Concept Summary: The “Mighty Wurlitzer Organ,” now housed above ground in the basketball court of Long Island University, formerly the world renowned Paramount Theatre which opened in 1928, is the central motif of this collage which celebrates this vibrant Downtown neighborhoods musical heritage.
The King and Queen motifs symbolize the final destinations of the subway – Kings County and Queens County.
